Letter from the President

May is finally here as evidenced by the Cavs in the playoffs, fireworks and dollar dog night at Progressive Field and the start of nice weather. For SME Cleveland it means we are nearing the completion of the 2009-2010 year, yet we have saved the best for last!!!
The May 11 SME-U Workshop features Marc Miller of Sogistics whose topic is "Sales 3.0 - How to Win by Driving Customer Results". Marc has spoken at several SME-U's and is a New York Times bestselling non-fiction author. His book, "A Seat at the Table" is a must for everyone.
Michael Roizen, M.D., Institute Chair Chief Wellness Officer at the Cleveland Clinic, is the May 24th luncheon speaker. His topic, "Real Age and You: The Cleveland Clinic Experience on Controlling Your Genes and What It Means for You," will be a fascinating presentation on how lifestyle choices and behavior have a far greater impact on longevity and health than heredity.
The Business After Hours events will continue during the summer. The May 20 Business After Hours will be held at Palladar and June's Business After Hours will be held at the Rocky River Wine Bar on June 24. There is no registration or fee for Business After Hours and everyone is welcome.
Don't forget about our Business Connection Groups. There's a group in Beachwood, one downtown and one that will be starting on the Westside. For more information on these, contact the SME Cleveland office at 216-341-7632.
It's going to be a great month at SME Cleveland and I look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events.
